Rotimatic Team

We are humbled and delighted to have crossed another landmark in the short history of Zimplistic. At the Singapore National Day Rally speech last evening, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong recognised Rotimatic as an innovation that will enable families to enjoy fresh rotis and chapatis without the women having to spend a lot of time in the kitchen.

We also had the honour of serving fresh Rotimatic rotis to the guests at the reception dinner post the speech.

Rotimatic started with a bold idea, a seemingly impossible mission, but the story and evolution of Singapore as a nation showed us that anything is possible. The supportive system and environment in Singapore has allowed us to tackle difficult problems and develop a world-class product.

We want to take this occasion to thank each one of you for being an earnest part of the Zimplistic family. Every word of support and appreciation from you encourages us to do even better. We hope you continue to support us in our journey forward.

We are happy to share that we have now shipped Rotimatic to all the pre-order customers in Singapore! We are now gearing up to bring Rotimatic to the homes in the US.

This is a big milestone for the team, marking the beginning of a new phase – Rotimatic from the lab to the homes. To express the gratitude for the support we received through the journey, we invited our Singapore preorder customers to our office to meet the team, get inspired with some exciting roti recipes, and to take their Rotimatic home.

For all of you who are eager to know how Rotimatic is doing in the homes of users in Singapore, here is what they have to say:

We had a chance to share the Rotimatic experience with Joanna Stern and Geoffrey Fowler from Wall Street Journal. They tested Rotimatic at the Converge Technology Conference. Understandably intrigued with the product, they spoke to us about the inspiration behind the product, the complicated ways in which is works and of course the big question, ‘Can Algorithms Replace Mom’s Home Cooking?’

It is only with the support of our eminenet investors, NSI Ventures and Robert Bosch Venture Capital, that we are at the dawn of Zimplstic’s launch. With the help of their trust we will soon be undertaking the first lap of fulfilling our pre-order requests.
